Eliminating Rear Sag on a Ford Raptor with Air Lift 1000
5/12/2026
The Ford Raptor is built to handle demanding terrain and tough conditions, but even high-performance trucks can start to feel the effects of heavy loads.
For Matthew Olson, that became clear anytime he loaded down his 2022 Ford Raptor with gear or hooked up his boat. One of the biggest examples came while hauling 75 wet bags of mulch in the bed, enough weight to create noticeable rear sag and change the overall feel of the truck.
That’s when he decided to add load support.
The Problem: Rear Sag and Reduced Stability
Before installing Air Lift, Matthew noticed the rear of the truck would squat significantly under load, especially while towing or carrying heavier cargo.
Like many truck owners, Matthew wanted a solution that would improve support under load without negatively affecting the unloaded ride quality of the truck.

"The truck felt less stable and didn’t handle as confidently when loaded down.
Prior to installing the Air Lift 1000 system on my Raptor, I experienced significant rear sag anytime I towed my boat or carried heavy loads in the bed,” said Olson.
