100,000 Miles. 1,500 Horsepower. Still Holding Strong.

When it comes to real-world durability, there’s testing – and then there’s this.
Rich Guido from Canada recently shared his experience with a set of Air Lift air springs that have been through more than most components will ever see. Installed back in 2013, these air bags have logged over 100,000 miles in a 1,500 horsepower, 4,000-pound 1965 Pontiac GTO built for drag-and-drive competition.
This isn’t a weekend cruiser. This is a stick-shift, high-horsepower machine that sees hard launches, long-distance drives, and everything in between.
Built for the Long Haul… and Then Some
For more than a decade, these air springs have done their job helping support vehicles under extreme conditions while maintaining performance and reliability.
Even after all that time and abuse, Rich noted something simple but powerful:

"They’re still holding air"
Eventually, the bags showed signs of wear and deformation, understandable given the environment they’ve lived in, but they continued to perform long past what most would expect.
Real-World Performance You Can’t Fake
It’s one thing to talk about durability in a lab or on a spec sheet. It’s another to see it proven over:
